2015 Project OpportunitySM Graduation, Eastern Shore – Fall

EASTERN SHORE FALL 2015 CLASS – Consulting, Training, and Development Services in partnership with the Tri County Council of the Eastern Shore Foundation conducted the 2015 Eastern Shore Class.  Orientation Sessions were conducted on August 17, 2015 at the DLLR Workforce Center located in Easton, MD and on August 24, 2015 at the Wicomico Partnership for Families located in Salisbury, MD.  After the completion of the program screening assessments a total of six (6) veterans were accepted into the program.  Here is a summary of their business ventures:

  • Upscale Thrift Store
  • Event organizer for military ceremonies
  • Lawn care and landscaping services
  • Climbing Gym and Job Readiness Services for Special Needs Youth
  • Non Lethal Force Apprehension Training

Classes started on September 14, 2015 and alternated between the DLLR Workforce Center in Easton and the Wicomico Partnership for Families in Salisbury.  The Graduation Ceremony was held on November 23, 2015 at American Legion Post 64 in Salisbury.  All six (6) of the veterans completed the course and received a certificate of completion, moving forward with their original business ventures.

The Guest Speaker for the ceremony was Thomas Rideout, Owner of Overland Boiler Inspection and Energy Management Co., LLC and a 2013 Project OpportunitySM Graduate.
