What was the most important thing you learned during Project Opportunity^SM?:
The most important thing I learned during Project Opportunity^SM was how to take a vision and turn it into a real, structured business. Before the program, I had the desire and determination, but I didn’t fully understand the foundation behind running a business. Project Opportunity^SM gave me the tools, confidence, and discipline to move from just having an idea to actually executing it with purpose.

What successes have you had since completing Project Opportunity^SM?:

Since completing Project Opportunity^SM, I made one of the biggest decisions of my life—I stepped away from my career in the healthcare field to fully pursue entrepreneurship and create a life that allows me to be more present with my children.

When I first started, I honestly had no idea what I was doing. I just knew I wanted something different for myself and my family, and I was willing to take the risk to make it happen. The beginning was challenging, with a lot of learning, long days, and moments of uncertainty. However, I remained consistent, committed, and focused on my goal.

Today, I am proud to say that I have successfully launched and grown my licensed home-based daycare, Sweet Dreams & Lullabies LLC, and I am currently operating at full capacity. What started as an idea has become a stable and thriving business serving families in my community.

Since opening, I have also been awarded multiple grants through the state of Maryland to support the growth and development of my program. In addition, I am a participant in Maryland EXCELS, which reflects my commitment to providing high-quality childcare and continuous improvement.

Looking ahead, I plan to continue growing my business and expand within the next year to increase my impact and serve even more families.
