2017 Project OpportunitySM Graduation, Southern Maryland – Spring
SOUTHERN MARYLAND SPRING 2017 CLASS – Consulting, Training, and Development Services partnered with St Mary’s County Department of Economic Development and the Southern Maryland America Job Center to provide Project OpportunitySM to veterans who reside in Calvert, Charles, and St. Mary’s Counties. After the completion of the orientation and telephonic screening assessments a total of ten (10) veterans were accepted into the program. Here is a summary of their business ventures:

- Pilot/Aircraft Services
- Product Development
Classes started on April 3, 2017 at the Hampton Inn in Lexington Park which was provided by the St. Mary’s County Department of Economic Development.
The Graduation Ceremony was held on June 12, 2017 at the Charlotte Hall Veterans Home. A total of eight (8) veterans completed the course and graduated. Those business ventures that these graduating veterans are seeking to start or expand are:

Secretary George W. Owings III, Secretary Maryland Department of Veterans Affairs was the Guest Speaker.
Katina McDonald, a graduate of the Project OpportunitySM Fall 2014 Class held in Odenton, Maryland and Owner of Photography by Katina McDonald provided the photographic services for the ceremony.
Murraydine Catering, owned by Murraydine Williams a Project OpportunitySM Anne Arundel Fall 2015 Class Graduate provided catering services for the graduation ceremony.
