2017 Project OpportunitySM Graduation, Eastern Shore – Fall

EASTERN SHORE FALL 2017 CLASS – Consulting, Training, and Development Services in partnership with the Tri County Council of the Eastern Shore Foundation conducted the 2017 Eastern Shore Class.  Orientation Sessions were conducted on August 16, 2017 at the DLLR Workforce Center located in Easton, MD and on August 23, 2017 at the Salisbury One Stop/America Career Center.  After the completion of the program screening assessments a total of five (5) veterans were accepted into the program.  Here is a summary of their business ventures:

  • Transportation Services
  • MS Awareness/Education
  • Record Label
  • Recovery House for Veterans
  • Community Ombudsman Services

Classes started on September 6, 2017 at the One Stop/America Career Center located in Salisbury.  Two individuals had to withdraw from the course, one due to increased school workload and the other due to a promotion at his place of employment.   The Graduation Ceremony was held on November 15, 2017 at the One Stop/America Career Center in Salisbury.  Three (3) veterans completed the course and received a certificate of completion, moving forward with their original business ventures:

  • Record Label
  • Recover House for Veterans
  • Community Ombudsman Services

The Guest Speaker for the ceremony was James Tingle, Owner of Tingle Services, LLC and a 2011 Project OpportunitySM Graduate.
