2014 Project Opportunity Graduation, Odenton Maryland – Anne Arundel County – Fall

ODENTON, ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY FALL 2014 CLASSConsulting, Training, and Development Services partnered with The Anne Arundel Workforce Development Corporation and the Anne Arundel Economic Development Corporation to provide Project Opportunity to veterans who reside in Anne Arundel County or have a small business located in Anne Arundel County.  The Orientation Session was conducted on August 28, 2014 at the Chesapeake Innovation Center located in Odenton.   After the completion of the program screening assessments a total of thirteen (13) veterans were accepted into the program.  Here is a summary of their business ventures:

  • BBQ Food Truck
  • Greek Restaurant
  • IT
  • Job Placement
  • Media (Films)
  • Training (Government Contractor)
  • Photography
  • Home Reno
  • Media (Voice overs)
  • Medical Transcript

Classes started on September 4, 2014 at the Chesapeake Innovation Center in Odenton .

The Graduation Ceremony was held on November 13, 2014 at the Chesapeake Innovation Center. A total of nine (9) veterans completed the course and graduated. Those business ventures that these graduating veterans are seeking to start or expand are:

  • Cyber and IT Solutions
  • Mobile BBQ Food Truck
  • Greek cuisine restaurant
  • Geospatial training and SETA support
  • Media production
  • Photography
  • Voice over artist and production
  • Software consultant for medical practices
