2015 Project Opportunity Graduation, Anne Arundel (Glen Burnie) MD – Spring

GLEN BURNIE MARYLAND AREA – Consulting, Training, and Development Services partnered with The Anne Arundel Workforce Development Corporation to provide Project Opportunity to veterans who reside in Anne Arundel County. After the completion of the orientation and telephonic screening assessments a total of eleven (11) veterans were accepted into the program. Here is a summary of their business ventures:

  • Franchise Exploration
  • Entertainment Inflatables
  • Life Saving Certification Training
  • Commercial Cleaning
  • Financial Services for Small Businesses
  • Catering
  • Construction
  • 3D Printing/Robotics

Classes started on January March 19, 2015 at the Anne Arundel Workforce Development Corporation Youth Employment Center.

The Graduation Ceremony was held on May 28, 2015 at the Arundel Workforce Development Corporation Youth Employment Center. A total of nine (9) veterans completed the course and graduated. Two veterans had to withdraw from the course due to scheduling issues. Those business ventures that these graduating veterans are seeking to start or expand are:

  • Entertainment Inflatables
  • Life Saving Certification Training
  • Commercial Cleaning
  • Financial Services for Small Businesses

Enrique J. Young, a graduate of the Project Opportunity Spring 2014 Class held in Columbia Maryland was the Guest Speaker.  Since completing Project Opportunity he has started his business, Forward Edge Business Alliance (FEBA) Inc. and obtained his first subcontract for physical security services.
